We at Jivox are very saddened by the loss of life in Ukraine and extend our support, prayers and wishes to the Ukrainians. We are also very inspired by the fact that many Ukrainians have decided to stay and fight despite the real risks of annihilation by Putin who is clearly a megalomaniacal dictator.
As we just witnessed yesterday with the attack on Ukraine’s nuclear reactors, Putin simply does not care what happens to the Ukranians or for that matter even Russians and people across Europe as he clearly knew that a nuclear disaster would kill many of them.
No one wins in a war. The only result of any war is death and suffering of innocent, defenceless people on both sides who were already struggling with life and just starting to hope for a better future, having survived COVID. These are ordinary men, women, children, grandpas, grandmas, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, co-workers, mentors, pastors, teachers, social workers, policemen, soldiers, doctors, nurses, factory workers. Yes, these are the same people we see everyday who have no desire to harm a fellow human being and are just trying to go about their lives.
We here in the US witnessed what could happen if a dictatorial megalomaniac continued to lead without anyone challenging or questioning him, and almost found ourselves in a similar predicament as the Russians now do with a lawless leader.
We have also seen what happened to dictators like Hitler, Saddam Hussein and many more before them who followed similar paths to their own destruction while sadly taking many innocent lives before they self-destructed. That, of course, only happened because the rest of us banded together and decided that we are human beings first and foremost before we are countries, continents, easterners, westerners, blacks, whites or for that matter any designation given to us by those that seek to divide and conquer. We all bleed red.
While many of us cannot go and fight alongside our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, we can certainly support them financially. My sincere hope and prayer is that the strong will of the Ukrainian people and the sheer force of the rest of the world sending a clear message financially and militarily to Putin that we will not stand by and watch the destruction is enough to stop him.
Our message to the Ukrainian people is this: Be #unstoppable. It is the term we use to describe our culture at Jivox. In one word, this is a statement of grit, determination and strength to overcome the destructive forces that have been coming at you. You will prevail. We are behind you.
